Andy Ortiz serves as Senior Vice President, Organization Effectiveness at Warner Bros. Entertainment, a global leader in the creation, production, distribution, licensing and marketing of all forms of entertainment, including feature films, television, home entertainment, digital content, animation, comic books and interactive entertainment as well as product and brand licensing, international cinemas and broadcasting.
In this role, which he has held since March 2008, Ortiz has oversight of the development of Warner Bros.’ most important asset—its people. He is responsible for aligning the company’s people with its business strategies through recruitment, employee learning and development, leadership development, succession management, diversity initiatives, employee communications, employee relations and change management. Ortiz also oversees all global organization development initiatives.
Prior to joining Warner Bros., Ortiz was Vice President, Talent Management, Diversity and Leadership Development for HealthNet, Inc. While at HealthNet, he was responsible for the leadership of the company’s talent pipeline, including workforce planning, recruitment, diversity, associate development, leadership development and succession management. Prior to HealthNet, Ortiz held numerous leadership roles in a variety of industries including financial services, cable and automotive.
Ortiz holds a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication. He is a certified executive coach from the Hudson Institute of Coaching, a member of the International Coaching Federation and is involved with a number of nonprofit organizations, including The Point Foundation, where he serves on the Board of Regents and The Hispanic Scholarship Fund where he serves on the Southern California Advisory Board.
