A former Clarence Jupiter fellow in ‘02-‘03 was awarded by the Council for Advancement Support and Education (CASE) representing districts I and VII.

Jinny is the Chief Development Officer and the newest executive member to join the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the nation’s largest nonprofit organization supporting Hispanic higher education.

Prior to joining HSF, Jinny served as Director of Major Gifts at Torrance Memorial Medical Center a locally governed non-profit medical center with the focus of establishing new major gifts for a $200 million capital campaign. Prior to joining the hospital, Jinny was recruited and appointed as Senior Regional Director of Leadership Gifts for Bucknell University, a private liberal arts institution located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Jinny was charged to establish the first regional program with emphasis on increased alumni support for their $500 million campaign based in California. Jinny is an experienced and highly accomplished fundraising professional with over 17 years of higher education and non-profit development management. She is well versed in all aspects of the development operation. Having had the fortunate experience to work at all levels of non-profits from the Ivy League to large public universities and on both coasts she has developed a fundraising mastery.

Jinny has an inherent interest to develop the philanthropic goals of the donor and/or institution while promoting a symbiotic long term partnerships. In addition she has a knack for creating and strategically executing new advancement initiatives; a cornerstone to her success. Jinny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of California Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She has two young active children, Eissa and Cruz, and lives with her husband Eric, in the greater South Bay community.

Currently she is envisioning and implementing a strategically innovative fundraising campaign for HSF.
