Suzanne Kunitz

Executive Assistant to the President & CEO, Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Full Bio

Suzanne is the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO, as well as the Office Manager, at the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Prior to joining HSF, Suzanne served as the Office Manager and Executive Assistant at Centinela Capital Partners, a minority-owned fund of funds. Before joining Centinela Capital Partners, she was a program manager at the Center for Corporate Innovation, a leading provider of CEO roundtable meetings.

Prior to Centinela Capital Partners, Suzanne spent 15 years working at McKinsey & Company’s Los Angeles Office in various roles from team supervisor to assistant to the Managing Director of this global, premiere management consultancy. She began her administrative career at the United Nations Development Programme, working in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, as a translator and team assistant.  Suzanne is an experienced and highly accomplished administrative professional, with over 30 years of experience.  She is well versed in all aspects of managing an office and developing people.

She has a deep interest in studying about her heritage and working on her geneology.  Having traveled most of the world as a young girl, she is happy to report that she has been living in the South Bay for the past 20 years.  Suzanne is also actively involved with her Temple, and is passionate about her children, cooking, and learning how to give back to the world. She continues her higher education by regularly taking college courses at the community college near her home. One day she plans to achieve her dream of being the first woman in her family to attain a college degree.

What inspires me the most is helping others succeed, particularly my children, husband and my team. Working here at HSF has been an amazing experience, having never worked at a nonprofit before. Seeing the staff work as hard as they do to help students achieve their dreams is thrilling and inspiring. I show up at HSF every day expecting to make a difference to someone, whether it be my boss, the staff, or my team – it’s always a learning experience!  I believe that education is key to understanding life, to seeing the world from other perspectives.  My travels were very formative, and I plan to round out my life by finishing my education when I retire from working full time.
