President Obama Donates Nobel Peace Prize Money to HSF
In March, the White House announced President Barack Obama selected HSF as one of 10 non-profits to receive a portion of the $1.4 million cash award that accompanies the Nobel Peace Prize. "These organizations do extraordinary work in the United States and abroad helping students, veterans and countless others in need," said Obama. "I'm proud to support their work." HSF Advocate Wins Big on Celebrity “Jeopardy!”
The answer is “He won $150,000 for HSF on one of TV’s most watched game shows”. The question? Who is Cheech Marin, legendary actor/comedian and HSF Board member? In May, Marin ("Cheech & Chong" and "Lost") placed third in the "Jeopardy!" Million Dollar Celebrity Invitational Tournament, winning a total of $150,000, which will help fund HSF scholars. "This generous donation will have such an enormous impact on the American landscape,” said Marin. “HSF empowers and educates so many worthy Latinos.” For details, click here.

HSF and Coca-Cola Support Education
HSF is proud to announce that Coca-Cola has expanded our partnership and will serve as our first national strategic marketing partner. In this capacity, Coca-Cola will use its marketing expertise to help get HSF’s message into the hands of Hispanic families across the U.S. – encouraging them to take the first step toward a college degree.  Through this work, Coca-Cola and HSF hope to create a movement that encourages people – of all ethnicities – to support the educational advancement of Hispanics.
