Cristina Lopez- Gonzalez is the newest Scholarship assistant at HSF. She has many years’ experience working in education and is dedicated to helping students achieve their educational dreams. Cristina has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in Legal Studies from University of California, Santa Cruz. At UCSC Cristina was involved in various programs such as UCSC ambassador, and was also an intern at the Chicano/Latino Resource center where she managed events and retention of students of color.
She is experienced with both public and private education settings, having been involved with Green Dot Public Charter Schools and the University of Southern California. At USC she was a financial aid advisor, having to work closely with students advising them on financial aid, loans, and scholarships. Cristina is passionate about Anthropology, Higher Education, and Social Justice.
The satisfaction of seeing first generation students and their families achieved their educational dreams makes just smile and say “Si Se Puede”. It’s been a dream come true to be part of Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and being part of a wonderful team that strives to fulfilled dreams.
