Cristina is a key member of the scholarships team at HSF. She is in direct communication with applicants and scholars, helping them navigate through the application process successfully. Cristina is a recent graduate from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology. At UCR, Cristina was an officer with the Native American Student Association and served on the Pow-Wow host committee, and served as an advocate with the Riverside District Attorney Victim-Witness Program. Her community involvement includes service with the following organizations: HOPE (Hispanas Organized for Poltitical Equality), Riverside Rape Crisis Center, NALEO (National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials), Office of the California State Assembly Speaker John Perez and the San Luis Rey Band of Mission Indians.
I am passionate about the mission of community empowerment and wholeheartedly believe that education is the key to real success for Latinos and their families. At HSF I feel I am a part of this movement. By empowering students, we empower families, and communities throughout the country.
