Fred Maldonado serves as AT&T’s Regional Director of External Affairs for Richardson and Dallas, where he is responsible for representing AT&T in all city, county, and state governmental and community affairs. He was appointed to the Dallas area office in June 2008.
Previously, Fred was the Regional Director for External Affairs in Lubbock, Texas. Before that, he served as Senior Operations Manager for West Texas where he was responsible for marketing consumer wireline and wireless products. Fred began his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1993 in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. He has previously held several positions in operator services, call center operations, consumer sales, network installation & repair, and marketing.
As AT&T’s representative in the Dallas area community, Fred currently serves as a Board of Director on the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Richardson Chamber of Commerce, Garland Chamber of Commerce, Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce, Parents Step Ahead, and the Richardson Symphony Orchestra. Fred was recently appointed as Chairman for representing all Corporate Partners for the GDHCC and serves as corporate advisor on Texas LULAC State Board.
Fred and his wife, Mari, have three sons ages 15, 8, and 5. Fred enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing hobbies such as coaching little league baseball, camping, hunting, running, golf, skiing, restoring classic vehicles and working for his father by operating a John Deere tractor when time allows.
