Full Bio

Gloria currently serves as Director of Events for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund planning and executing events and programs and aiding in fund development. Previously, Gloria served as the Director of Community Development for the LA Galaxy and Director of the LA Galaxy Foundation, where for 13 years she was responsible for event planning, fundraising, player and team community outreach, and program development and implementation. She began her sports career as the Community Development Assistant for the LA Kings and the Kings Care Foundation, where she assisted with program and fundraising activities. She is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in sociology with a specialization in business administration.

Gloria is an avid sports fan from the 49ers, Galaxy, Dodgers, and Lakers to the UCLA Bruins and golf. She enjoys good books and tv shows, dinners with friends and likes to say that “she’s just a girl trying to make a difference and have a little fun along the way”.

As I moved on from professional sports, I wanted to continue to make a difference and impact young people's lives. With HSF, I am able to to accomplish both - help educate today's youth who will be tomorrow's leaders. One of my favorite quotes is "No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence"- Martin Luther King Jr.
