Originally from El Paso, Texas, Javier earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1992. He joined American Honda Motor Company in 1992 as a National Trainee and has worked in many areas of the company and parts of the U.S. Javier celebrated his 21st anniversary working for Honda in July 2013. He is married and has three children and resides in Frisco, Texas.
Javier has served on the American Honda Foundation Board. The American Honda Foundation gives to nonprofit charitable organizations classified as 501(c) (3) public charities by the Internal Revenue Service, or public school district, private/public elementary and secondary schools as listed by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Work consisted of studying the AHF board analysis, and then assisting the American Honda Foundation in making funding decisions based on priority to nonprofit charitable organizations.
Javier looks forward to helping the Hispanic Scholarship Fund expand its giving in the South Central Region of the U.S.
