Jeff Monge is the Managing Partner of Monge Capital Group, a Latino owned and operated firm focused on providing advisory services and capital solutions for complex real estate projects with a focus on public/private partnerships to provide investors market returns and communities social benefits. Founded in December 2009, Monge Capital closed approximately $250 million of public/ private investments.  Clients include municipalities, retailers, developers and nonprofits.

Prior to founding Monge Capital, Jeff was Senior Vice President & Principal for UrbanAmerica, L.P., a $520 million real estate investment fund focused on acquiring and developing commercial real estate in urban markets.  During his 10 year tenure, he was the primary investment originator which led to over $2 billion of owned assets.  Additionally, Jeff secured and managed approximately $200 million in Federal New Market Tax Credit allocation creating a portfolio of over $450M in leveraged real estate transactions utilizing an array of public financing.

Prior to UrbanAmerica, Jeff served as the Director of Business Investments in charge of real estate investments and originations for the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, a $250 million public investment fund, where he structured, negotiated and closed investments and developed strategies to recruit business to Harlem through “dollar and cents” marketing leading to the recruitment of Starbucks, Old Navy, Magic Johnson Theatres, and Broadway Video Entertainment (owned by Lorne Michaels, creator and executive producer of Saturday Night Live) helping spark investments in “emerging urban markets” nationally.

Jeff is an 11 year member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and serves as the ICSC Regional Chair of the Hispanic Markets Initiative as well as a member of the National Conference planning group.  Also, Jeff is a founder of the annual ICSC Diversity Reception at the ICSC national conference.  Jeff has a long history of community service in many capacities including as a volunteer, board member, fundraiser and contributor.

Jeff holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering Technology and a M.S. in Business Management from the State University of New York, Utica/Rome.
