Sugey B. Reyes is the Senior Accountant for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). She helps maintain and promote the financial health of the organization by assisting the Controller in managing daily financial operations, including accounts payable and general ledger activity. She assists in the development and management of the accounting and financial reporting policies, procedures, internal controls, and segregation of duties with the highest professional and ethical standards. Her work exceeds the minimum fiduciary responsibilities of management and the board thus enabling HSF to effectively and efficiently achieve its mission of supporting higher education.
Prior to HSF she worked with Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a staff accountant and was promoted to a senior accountant within the Rideshare department. Before her start with Enterprise Rent-A-Car she completed an internship with Johnson & Johnson as a Revenue Analyst. Both opportunities prepared her with strong technical abilities and enhanced her leadership skills.
She is a graduate from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She grew up in the Inland Empire in Southern California and is the first in her family to graduate from college. She enjoys traveling and had the opportunity to study aboard in Paris, France. She is a believer that hard work and dedication can lead to many different opportunities.
