YLI is a three-day, overnight college empowerment conference for Hispanic high school juniors designed to give students the practical tools they need to successfully apply to top universities, effectively access financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and excel in school and beyond. Selected students will experience what it’s like to live on a college campus, participate in college and career workshops, interact with college students and various professionals who serve as mentors, and develop the skills to become leaders in their communities.
Vice President and Business Banking Manager

Pat Sanchez currently serves as a Vice President and Business Banking Manager in the Commercial Real Estate Department for Wells Fargo Bank in Santa Fe, where he is responsible for helping to develop new loans, servicing existing customers, and selling additional banking services to customers as needed.
A 36-year Wells Fargo veteran, Sanchez has held various roles within Wells Fargo, including his most recent position as a store manager in Santa Fe.
Sanchez was born and raised in Albuquerque and graduated from the University of New Mexico. He has also attended the Western States School of Banking and graduated from Leadership Albuquerque.
Sanchez is deeply involved with the community and currently serves on the board of the New Mexico Risk Management Association and the University of New Mexico Lobo Club. He previously served on the board of the March of Dimes and the Downtown Albuquerque Action Team.
District Manager for Santa Fe
Linda Vega serves as the District Manager for the Santa Fe Wells Fargo locations and surrounding areas to include Los Alamos, Espanola and Pojoaque.
Vega has 40 years banking experience, starting her career in banking in 1974 in El Paso, Texas, and then transferred to Albuquerque in August 1999.
During her 40 years, Linda has held several positions including Operations Analyst, Systems Analyst, Operations Manager, Community Banking President and Customer Service Regional Manager. Her areas of expertise include team engagement, team member development, financial services, training, and customer service.
Vega has received many accolades, including leading the Albuquerque Retail Banking Group to be awarded the Pinon Award from Quality New Mexico in 2004, past nominee for the YWCA “Women on the Move” award, has been featured in the New Mexico Women Magazine as one of Wells Fargo’s top women leaders and is an alumni for Leadership New Mexico. Within Wells Fargo, Vega has received several Sales and Service Management awards, has been recognized for her leadership at Wells Fargo, graduated from the Corporate Leadership Program, and was selected in 2014 to participate in the Wells Fargo Hispanic Leadership Program, and selected as a mentor to the Wells Fargo Southwest Advanced Leadership Program.
Vega has a passion for community service ad coordinates many annual Wells Fargo community efforts, including the Carrie Tingley Hospital Mudd Volleyball Tournament, the Relay for Life Cancer Walk and organizes her team’s annual participation in Habitat for Humanity.
Vega serves as Board of Directors Chairperson for Junior Achievement New Mexico, dedicated to financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workforce readiness of our youth.
Vega attended the University of Texas at El Paso, received an advanced certificate from the American Institute of Banking and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Banking.
