2014 Leaders in Education Awards Luncheon #LEA2014

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s 4th annual Leaders in Education Awards Luncheon will recognize scholars, parents, community organizations, and corporate leaders in education in the Southern California area.

The event is designed to raise awareness of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund's work and to highlight the contributions that our leading partners make in collaboration with HSF towards Latino higher education.  Attendees will include leaders from major corporations and community organizations, elected officials, educators, and HSF scholars and alumni.

Award Categories:

HSF Scholar Parent of the Year:
Recognizes an HSF Scholar or Alumni Parent in Southern California, who has supported, encouraged, guided, inspired and positively influenced the life of his or her student in pursuit of higher education.  This year we are honoring Ana Maria Marinez & Gabriel Marinez Herrera from Oxnard, CA who were nominated by their daughter Wendy.

HSF Male and Female Scholars of the Year:
Honors a male and female HSF Scholar in the region who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance and embodies the “Student Leader” traits and characteristics.  This year's nominees are:

Community Partner of the Year:
Recognizes a local non-profit, community-based organization, school or university that works in partnership with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund to support Latino students’ development and access to a college education.  This year we are honoring GE Hispanic Forum.

Corporate Partner of the Year:
In celebration of a corporate partner’s long-standing philanthropic commitment and support of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s mission.  This year we are honoring Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.
