Program Description

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and Nissan North America, Inc. have partnered to provide financial resources to assist outstanding Community College Transfer Students.  Applicants must transfer to a four-year institution in selected geographic locations.  The award amount is $2,500 

Eligibility Requirements

• Be of Hispanic heritage 
• Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
• Be currently enrolled part-time or full-time at a community college
• Must have plans to transfer and enroll full-time in a degree-seeking program at a four-year U.S. accredited institution during the 2010-2011 academic year
• Must transfer to a four-year college or university as a Sophomore or Junior class level
• Have a minimum cumaltive grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Must reside or transfer to a four-year institution in one of the following locations:
   
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • Denver, CO
  • Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale, FL
  • San Antonio, TX
  • Chicago, IL
  • Nashville, TN
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Dallas, TX
  • Atlanta, GA
  • New Jersey/New York City metropolitan areas
    
• Be pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Public Relations, or Marketing
• Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
