Program Description

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and Margoes Foundation have partnered to provide scholarship awards to assist outstanding Latino high school seniors from San Francisco, California.  Applicants must be a current senior and be an active participant of the College Connect Program.

In order to access this application, students will first need to contact their local College Connect Office to verify participation.

Selected students may be potentially eligible for awards up to $2,500.  Awards to be disbursed in Fall 2009.

Eligibility Requirements

• Be of Hispanic heritage
• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
• Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
• Be a current high school senior from San Francisco
• Must be an active participant of the College Connect Program
• Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam during the 2009-2010 academic year.
• Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
