Program Description
The HSF/HACEMOS Scholarship Program is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage and dependents of HACEMOS members obtain a college degree. The award amount is will range from $1,500 for students attending two-year colleges and $2,500 for students attending four-year colleges during the 2013-2014 academic year.

Eligibility Requirements
- Be of Hispanic heritage or a HACEMOS member dependent (any heritage)
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
- Be 25 years or younger as of February 28, 2013
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Must plan to enroll full-time during the 2013-2014 academic year in an undergraduate degree-seeking program at a U.S. accredited four-year institution or two-year institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam
- All majorsare eligible
- Must have a permanent address in one of the following city/metro areas:

- Corpus Christi, TX
- Dallas/Plano/Irving, TX
- El Paso, TX
- Fort Worth/Arlington, TX
- Houston, TX
- Joplin, MO
- Kansas City, MO
- Lubbock, TX
- Oklahoma (entire state)

- Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Preference will be given to students demonstrating financial need based on PELL Grant eligibility
