Program Description

The HSF/HACEMOS Scholarship Program is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage and dependents of HACEMOS members obtain a college degree. The award amount is will range from $1,500 for students attending two-year colleges and $2,500 for students attending four-year colleges during the 2013-2014 academic year.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be of Hispanic heritage or a HACEMOS member dependent (any heritage) 
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
  • Be 25 years or younger as of February 28, 2013
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Must plan to enroll full-time during the 2013-2014 academic year in an undergraduate degree-seeking program at a U.S. accredited four-year institution or two-year institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam  
  • All majorsare eligible
  • Must have a permanent address in one of the following city/metro areas:

      • Corpus Christi, TX
      • Dallas/Plano/Irving, TX
      • El Paso, TX
      • Fort Worth/Arlington, TX

      • Joplin, MO
      • Kansas City, MO
      • Lubbock, TX
      • Oklahoma (entire state)
      • San Antonio, TX
