Saludos

Great things are happening at HSF and it is my pleasure to welcome you to the all-new HSF Alumni Newsletter. Each month we will share news to keep you informed about and involved in Hispanic higher education and thereby actively engaged in our efforts to realize "a college degree in every U.S. Latino household".

You are part of more than 50,000 HSF alumni who truly lead the way. As an HSF alumnus, you are part of a network of college graduates, community and business leaders, visionaries, healers, teachers and guides. You represent current and future generations who contribute their creativity, dedication and leadership to our nation's prosperity.

Above all else, you are a role model and we are proud of your strength and commitment, proud that you turned opportunity into achievement and honored to have helped as you got your start.

You are an inspiration to countless others and in future issues of this newsletter we will share your powerful stories. We will work to illuminate the importance of giving back so that more students can receive the same opportunities you received and to inter-connect your passion and interests to our mission of strengthening America through the academic advancement of Latinos across the country.

With each issue of this new Alumni Newsletter, Opportunity Knocks, we will also share the stories of scholars just starting out. We will provide information on alumni events and networking opportunities taking place throughout the U.S.

Take a few minutes to explore the newsletter and tell us what you think by using 'Contact Editor' below. We look forward to your feedback so we can continue to make changes. Check back each month for exciting news, stories and opportunities.

With thanks and gratitude,

Frank D. Alvarez
President and Chief Executive Officer
