HSF is excited to announce the launch of a new section on the HSF website that offers tips and tools to connect with other HSF alumni and deepen your professional network. You will also find ways that you can join with HSF to help inspire, inform and support more Latino youth in your area get to college. The ideas and tools were created based on the feedback we received from alumni like you. Check it out at HSF.net/GetInvolved!

In conjunction, we started HSF Alumni Chapters on Facebook. This is an easy way to meet and connect with others who have similar interests. Search 'HSF Alumni Network' on Facebook and begin connecting with fellow alumni. You will also be able to stay abreast of HSF alumni news and events, like the upcoming HSF Alumni Hall of Fame and Education Summit on October 5th.

This year we are conducting the first Education Summit, where leaders from various arenas will discuss important factors that impact Latino college attainment and graduation. Immediately following the event, HSF will honor the achievements of five new HSF Alumni Hall of Fame inductees at our ninth annual Gala. Life doesn't always work out as planned, particularly in Stephanie Elizondo Griest's life. Stephanie was inspired to become a journalist when she heard CNN Foreign Correspondent, Charles Bierbauer, address a conference when she was 16 years old and editor of her high school yearbook.
