HSF is currently seeking nominees for this year’s Alumni Hall of Fame (AHOF). 2011 will mark the tenth year that we celebrate you, our outstanding alumni. This event honors four alumni whose accomplishments demonstrate the power of higher education and are an inspiration for today’s youth.

I encourage you to submit a nomination now, for a fellow alumnus or yourself! This year’s honorees will be celebrated in New York City at the end of October. I look forward to receiving your submissions.

For those still working on your career path, make sure to take advantage of the HSF Career Center. Each year, a number of top companies from different fields, such as engineering, banking/finance and non-profits, to name a few, partner with HSF to place our alumni in competitive professional positions.

In this difficult economy, we often hear that HR professionals receive hundreds of applicants for each position. It’s important to utilize your networks to give your application an edge over the rest. Our sponsors realize that individuals who received a scholarship from HSF are high-achievers who become motivated professionals.

As a benefit of being part of the HSF Alumni community, your résumé will rise to the top when you apply through the Career Center to our partner companies. Many of our partners have dedicated HR professionals to review HSF applicants. Visit the HSF Career Center to upload your résumé and browse job listings.

The assistance from HSF doesn’t stop at the scholarship you received while in college. Through the Career Center we provide support for your career and celebrate your accomplishments at the Alumni Hall of Fame. Make sure to keep in contact with us by registering with the HSF Alumni Network so we can send you information tailored to your interests.

Sincerely,
