Evelyn Carrasco is a Financial Analyst at the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). She works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Accountant to consolidate revenue, close the month, and put together weekly and monthly financial reports, primarily using customer relationship management (CRM) and accounting software systems such as Salesforce, Sage MIP, and Microsoft Excel.
Prior to joining the HSF family, Ms. Carrasco was the Material and Resource Planning (MRP) Assistant Analyst and Scheduler for American Apparel‘s Production Planning Department. Through the use of Microsoft Dynamics AX and macro tools, she implemented and executed cycle-counting and scheduling processes for inventory control, becoming the appointed liaison for – and effectively increasing – interdepartmental communication. Prior to that, she completed several internships with HBO, LA Times Magazine and The Princeton Review where she held various roles in Executive Assistance, Marketing, Social Media, and Finance.
Ms. Carrasco earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics in 2011 from the University of California, Irvine, as a Gates Millennium Scholar. During her college career, she was able to study abroad in Brazil. She learned to speak Portuguese and was able to immerse herself in a different culture, learning some of Brazil’s authentic recipes, dances, and history.
Evelyn’s many passions and hobbies include traveling, food, lifting and squatting, learning different languages, fashion, technology, basketball, and meeting new people.
