Equipped with 20 plus years of experience building sales and marketing campaigns, Jasmine Rezai uses her expansive network to build strategic partnerships to achieve business objectives and connect with key decision makers.
She launched her career in the entertainment industry in 1992 at Univision Communications Inc. Based on her experiences and successes in sales and marketing, she rose to the position of Director of Affiliate Sales there. During her tenure, she cultivated partnerships with leading telecommunications service providers such as Dish, Time Warner Corp, Comcast, Cox Communications, Verizon and AT&T; as well as Latino talent. Then, as Vice President of Affiliate Marketing, she orchestrated the development and implementation of marketing initiatives for all the Univision Cable Networks.
Ms. Rezai has won numerous marketing awards such as CableFAXIES Best Direct Marketing Campaign (2008) and three NAMIC Awards for Excellence in Marketing (2006 and 2008).
After serving Univision, she worked in business development for several leading media companies, including Telemundo and BET Networks. In that role, she cultivated effective business relationships with decision-makers for national corporate accounts. Internally, Ms. Rezai collaborated with marketing resources and sales leadership teams to define overall sales strategy, and to develop campaigns responsive to the advertiser's business. Her extensive experience in agency business, ratings negotiations, forecasting, account development, and applying market intelligence aided in successful sales strategies for the companies she served.
Eager to share her talents and resources with others, Jasmine has collaborated with various nonprofit and for-profit organizations. A natural connector, she is a member of Women in Telecommunications and the HSF Alumni Association. However, her real passion lies in working in developing tomorrow’s new leaders. It is this particular interest that brought her to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, where she serves as Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives.
In that role, she is responsible for developing and cultivating partnerships with media, entertainment, corporate, and community entities, in order to support HSF’s goals of substantially increasing the numbers of college scholarships it provides, and related services.
She has been tasked to create national initiatives for HSF, while enhancing marketing and public relations’ efforts, as well as leveraging relationships with HSF Alumni and Scholars, educational institutes, corporate partners, and other like-minded community organizations. Ms. Rezai manages HSF’s Alumni Engagement, Career Services, Community Partnerships, and Mentor Program teams. She reports to the CEO and serves as a member of the executive team.
Committed to paying homage to her Hispanic roots, she also currently acts as a mentor in HSF’s Mentorship Program. She brings inside knowledge to this work – both professionally and personally – as an HSF Alum who was, herself, a recipient of an HSF college scholarship.
Ms. Rezai enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures. She is fluent in Spanish and holds two B.A.s in History and Latin American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. Ms. Rezai was born and raised in Los Angeles.
