Cristina Lopez-Gonzalez is a Scholarship Assistant at the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). She is a point person in assisting students and parents with navigating the scholarship process.
Ms. Lopez-Gonzales has had many years of experience working in education and is dedicated to helping students achieve their educational dreams. Experienced with both public and private education settings, she has worked with Green Dot Public Charter Schools and the University of Southern California. At USC, she was an Admissions processor and financial aid advisor, working closely with undergraduate and graduate students to advise them about financial aid, loans, and scholarships.
While attending University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), Cristina was a active in a variety of extra-curricular activities, including being a member of the American Anthropological Association, serving as a UCSC ambassador, and interning at the Chicano/Latino Resource center, where she managed events and retention of students of color. As an alum of the Fulfilment Fund, Ms. Lopez-Gonzales also served as a Fulfillment Fund mentor, providing mentorship workshops in financial aid, academic advice, and guidance on college access. She is passionate about anthropology, higher education, and social justice.
Ms. Lopez-Gonzales has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Anthropology, with a minor in Legal Studies from University of California, Santa Cruz.
The satisfaction of seeing first generation students and their families achieve their educational dreams makes me just smile and say “Si Se Puede”. It’s been a dream come true to be part of Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and being part of a wonderful team that strives to fulfill dreams.
