Erika Ocegueda is the Human Resources Manager of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). In that role, she is responsible for the effectiveness of the Human Resources function, as well as for identifying, developing, managing, and participating in HSF’s Human Resources initiatives. Her overarching goal is to ensure that the HR function continues to respond to, and anticipate, the ongoing needs of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. To that end, she provides leadership and support to all levels of management to ensure consistency and compliance with internal policies, as well as federal, state, and local laws.
Prior to joining HSF, Ms. Ocegueda gained extensive professional knowledge and experience in the field of HR Management during her ten years as a Human Resources professional in the gaming and hospitality industry. During that period, she served on multiple projects that enabled her to support and lead all aspects of building a Human Resources department, from the ground, up.
Ms. Ocegueda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Business Administration and a Minor in Economics from the University of California, Riverside and is a member of multiple Human Resources associations, including the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
