Gloria King is the Director of Events for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), where she plans and executes events and programs for venues across the country.
Prior to joining HSF, Ms. King served as the Director of Community Development for the LA Galaxy and Director of the LA Galaxy Foundation. For 13 years she was responsible for event planning, fundraising, player and team community outreach, program development and implementation. She began her sports career as the Community Development Assistant for the LA Kings and the Kings Care Foundation, where she assisted with program and fundraising activities.
She is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in sociology, with a specialization in business administration.
As I moved on from professional sports, I wanted to continue to make a difference and impact young people's lives. With HSF, I am able to accomplish both by helping to forge tomorrow's leaders.
One of my favorite quotes is "No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence"- Martin Luther King Jr.
