His primary concern is addressing the disparities of health and education in the southern region of Los Angeles, CA. His overall involvement with the fund included promoting HSF’s works through social media. “Using myself as a voice to other Latinos has been amazing.” He strongly advises students to not only get more information in regard to the Gates Millennium Scholarship, but also look for the other scholarships and programs that HSF has to offer. Ernesto’s experience with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund has been nothing short of amazing. “It’s been amazing working with super energetic staff and other applicants and scholars, because it’s awesome to have peer mentoring.” Aside from the financial support and educational opportunities that HSF has provided Ernesto, he has also gained a vast network of individuals that have allowed him to achieve his professional goals.
